Zainab Azumi

Founder, CEO & Chairperson

Zainab Muntari is a Tourism Development Professional, Entrepreneur, International Speaker, and Advocate for Youth-Led Growth in Tourism, Hospitality, Culture, and the Creative Economy across Africa. With over six years of experience spanning tourism operations, hospitality, events management, business development, and international travel coordination, she has built a career focused on connecting tourism with economic empowerment, innovation, and sustainable development. As Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Sixth African Region Initiatives (SARI), Zainab leads programs and partnerships designed to support young entrepreneurs, tourism SMEs, cultural practitioners, and creative industry professionals across Africa and the African Diaspora. Through SARI, she champions tourism as a catalyst for job creation, entrepreneurship, cultural preservation, regional integration, and inclusive economic growth. Her work has included destination development, travel operations, stakeholder engagement, customer experience management, event coordination, and tourism marketing. Zainab's expertise extends beyond tourism operations into tourism policy conversations, youth development, experiential tourism, hospitality management, tourism entrepreneurship, and innovation ecosystems. She has worked with diverse stakeholders including tourism businesses, hotels, destination partners, development organizations, entrepreneurs, and international delegates. Her leadership and contributions to the industry have earned international recognition. In 2026, Her team led the development and presentation of Njila, a USSD-based career navigation solution for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) graduates in Zambia, which won First Place at the World Bank Group Youth Summit Innovation Lab Challenge in Washington, D.C. She has also been recognized as a speaker and participant at several international tourism and leadership platforms, including the Africa Youth in Tourism Innovation Summit in South Africa, the UN Tourism Gastronomy Tourism Forum for Africa in Tanzania, and global conferences in the United States, Saudi Arabia, and across Africa. Zainab is passionate about the future of African tourism and believes the continent's greatest tourism opportunity lies in developing sustainable destinations, strengthening tourism entrepreneurship, preserving cultural heritage, advancing experiential and wellness tourism, and creating pathways for young people to become active contributors to the tourism economy. Through SARI, Her mission is to contribute to a thriving African tourism ecosystem that empowers communities, connects the African Diaspora, promotes innovation, and positions tourism as a driver of long-term development and prosperity.

Regina Amadi -Njoku

Regina Amadi -Njoku is an author, a diplomat, speaker, lecturer, and mentor. She was the first woman to be appointed as an Assistant Director General and Regional Director for Africa at the International Labour Organization (ILO) with the rank of the United Nations Assistant Secretary General (UNASG) in 2000. She worked as a Project Coordinator at the World Bank; and served as Regional Programme Director of West Africa for the United Nations Fund for Women (UNIFEM), now UN Women. Amadi-Njoku also worked in the public service of her country, Nigeria, and in private sector companies in the United States of America (USA). She lectured at Howard University in the USA and served as the Deputy Director of Colloquium at FESTAC ‘77 held in Lagos Nigeria in 1977. She is a recipient of several honors and awards, notable among them are the prestigious African Achievers Award for Excellence in Leadership in 2020 and the 2013 La Palmares award for Gender Advocacy from Africa Femmes Performantes. Ms. Amadi-Njoku served and still serves on the boards of several institutions, like the Coca Cola Advisory Board, Atlanta, USA, Southeast Regional Economic and Development Corporation (SEREDEC) Nigeria; Advisory Board of Angie Brooks International Centre (ABIC), Liberia; Member Eminent African Women Group, who monitor elections in African countries; Black Professionals in International Affairs (BPIA) USA; Member, Fem-Wise, African Union, Addis Abeba, Ethiopia; and Member. Board of Trustees, Lady Mechanic Initiative (LMI), Lagos, Nigeria. Member, Board of trustees African International Documentary Festival Foundation (AFIDFF). She is the Chairperson of the Ajoba Foundation board of trustees and Board of Trustees of Nkata Ndi Inyom Igbo (NNII), a global development organization of Igbo women of Nigeria. Ms. Amadi-Njoku holds a License degree in French, Linguistics and Sociology from Lovanium University, Kinshasa, Zaire, now DRC, 1968. She has a Certificate in Cross-cultural Development, UNESCO, Paris, 1980; a diploma in Management, Administrative College of Nigeria (ASCON), Badagry, 1984. She took postgraduate courses in Development Management, Southeast University, Washington DC. 1986, and UN work-related courses in Leadership, Labour policies, Diplomacy, Gender, and Enterprise Development. She is perfectly bilingual in English and French and has working knowledge of Spanish. Ms. Amadi Njoku has written and published extensively on matters related to culture, development, labour, and gender.

Humaima Abdul-Rahman is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG). She serves as an Assistant Director of Audit at an auditing firm, where she plays a key leadership role in conducting audit assignments. Including but not limited to leading teams to evaluate financial systems, strengthening internal controls, and mitigating the risks of fraud and misappropriation within organizations. Humaima holds membership in the Institute of Certified Business Analysts and Consultants. In addition, she possesses a Post-Chartered Diploma in Forensic Audit, further enhancing her expertise in financial oversight and fraud detection. She also serves on the board of the Sixth African Region Initiatives Ltd (SARI) as the Finance & Investment Lead. Humaima pursued her higher education at the Islamic University College, Ghana, where she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Banking and Finance. With a deep passion for business and management, she furthered her studies at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), earning a Commonwealth Master of Business Administration (CMBA) degree. Humaima Abdul Rahman’s career reflects her commitment to excellence, integrity, and professional growth. Through her work, she continues to contribute significantly to the field of auditing and financial management in Ghana.

Bisi Ademulegun is the founder of Serenity Farms Foundation Ghana. She is a visionary and solutionist with a unique blend of creative and technical skills. With a Master of Fine Arts in Film and Television from the University of California, Los Angeles’s renowned program, and over 15 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, she has honed a rare combination of storytelling and entrepreneurial acumen. Now, she’s using that expertise to take on a bold new challenge: sustainable farming. Deeply committed to soil health, seed sovereignty, and environmental regeneration, she has pivoted toward African agriculture with a mission to encourage more women to return to the land through climate-smart and sustainable practices.
