Innovation, entrepreneurship, and youth leadership remain at the heart of Africa's tourism transformation. It was a privilege for Sixth African Region Initiatives (SARI) to participate as a speaker at the Africa Youth in Tourism Innovation Summit, an annual continental platform organized by Africa Tourism Partners in collaboration with UN Tourism and other strategic partners.

The summit convened policymakers, investors, tourism leaders, startups, SMEs, and young innovators from across Africa to explore practical solutions for strengthening tourism through entrepreneurship, technology, and collaboration.

Representing SARI, Founder and Executive Director Zainab A. Muntari contributed to discussions on youth entrepreneurship and the importance of building sustainable pathways for young people to participate meaningfully in Africa's tourism economy.
The session highlighted the significant role that SMEs and MSMEs play in job creation, community development, and inclusive economic growth. Participants explored how mentorship, access to finance, digital innovation, and strategic partnerships can accelerate the success of youth-led enterprises while creating resilient tourism ecosystems.

The summit also provided valuable networking opportunities with industry leaders, destination organizations, private sector partners, and development institutions working collectively to unlock Africa's tourism potential.
For SARI, the experience reaffirmed the importance of investing in youth-driven solutions that address unemployment while positioning tourism as a vehicle for innovation, entrepreneurship, and regional integration.
As Africa continues to redefine its place in the global tourism landscape, empowering young entrepreneurs will remain essential to building a competitive, inclusive, and sustainable future.
SARI remains committed to creating opportunities that connect young innovators with markets, partnerships, and knowledge that enable them to thrive and contribute meaningfully to the continent's development.
